Supplementary Packaging Supplies for Military Applications

While the primary containers and cushioning protect military equipment from impact, supplementary packaging supplies are the final, critical details that ensure a product’s integrity. These items, including tape, desiccants, and MIL-SPEC labels, are essential for creating a complete, sealed, and traceable packaging system that can withstand the rigors of military logistics.

Tape

Tape is more than just a sealant; it is a vital component for ensuring a container remains closed and secure. Military-grade tape is engineered to resist moisture, extreme temperatures, and a range of environmental stresses. It provides a reliable seal for cartons, a strong hold for strapping, and a durable cover for labels.

Desiccants and Humidity Indicators

Moisture is one of the greatest threats to military equipment, causing corrosion and electronic failure. Desiccants and humidity indicators work together to combat this. Desiccants, typically in small bags, absorb moisture from the air inside a sealed package. Humidity indicators are small cards that change color to visually signal the humidity level within the package.

MIL-SPEC Labels

MIL-SPEC labels provide the critical information needed for handling, identification, and tracking. These labels are required on all military shipments and must be durable enough to remain legible throughout the entire supply chain, from the factory floor to the field.
