Our Engineering services are the foundation of our military packaging solutions. We don’t just put things in boxes; we design and build complete systems to protect your assets from the most extreme conditions they’ll face in transit and storage. From our facility in Macon, GA, our team of expert engineers provides comprehensive, hands-on support to ensure every packaging project is a success.
Design & Customization
We specialize in creating custom packaging solutions tailored to the unique requirements of your products. Our engineers work with you to analyze every detail, including the item’s weight, fragility, and specific vulnerabilities. Using this information, we select the ideal materials and design a packaging system to provide maximum protection against shock, vibration, moisture, and corrosion. This could involve anything from custom foam inserts to multi-wall corrugated containers and shock-mounted skids. Our ability to prototype and test designs in-house ensures that the final product will perform as needed.
Compliance with MIL-STD-2073
A cornerstone of our engineering services is our deep expertise in MIL-STD-2073, the Department of Defense standard for military packaging. This complex standard outlines the precise methods and materials required to preserve, package, and pack items for the military distribution system. We’re well-versed in the various preservation methods and packing levels, ensuring that every design we create is fully compliant. We handle all the necessary documentation, including creating Special Packaging Instructions (SPIs), which are the detailed blueprints for how your product must be packaged. This meticulous attention to detail ensures your shipments are never rejected due to non-compliance.
Prototype & Testing
Before a single item is packaged for shipment, we validate our designs through rigorous testing. We work with accredited third-party labs to perform a full range of tests, including:
Drop testing to simulate accidental handling.
Vibration testing to ensure the package can endure the rigors of transport.
Environmental testing to confirm resistance to temperature extremes and humidity.
These tests are crucial to guaranteeing that our engineering solutions will protect your valuable cargo in the real world, providing you with peace of mind and mission readiness.
